What happens

What to expect

Get there ten minutes early

A coach will meet you, sign your waiver, show you around, and ask about your training history and anything that hurts. Bring athletic shoes and water. That is all you need.

Warm up with the class

The coach walks the whole room through the movements and shows you the scaled version of anything you have not done before. You will not be handed a barbell and left to guess.

Do the workout

The same one everyone else is doing, at whatever weight and volume is right for you today. It will be hard. It is supposed to be. Nobody in that room is judging you, because every one of them had a first day too.

Talk it through afterwards

The coach will tell you honestly whether this is a fit, walk you through the membership options, and answer whatever you want to ask. Nothing to sign on the spot.

Common questions

Before you come in.

How do I get started?
Book your free first class. Pick a time that suits you, tell us it is your first visit, and a coach will be expecting you. You train the same workout everyone else does, scaled to whatever you can do that day. Afterwards a coach talks you through what training here would look like.
I am completely out of shape. Is CrossFit going to hurt me?
Every workout scales. The weights, the movements, and the volume all adjust to the person doing them. We have members in their sixties and members who had never touched a barbell before walking in. The coach on the floor is watching you specifically.
Do I need to be in shape before I start?
No. That is the single most common reason people put this off, and it is backwards. Come as you are.
What should I bring to my first class?
Athletic shoes, comfortable clothes, and water. That is it. We have all the equipment.
